How to backup website files in "eggpage" format?
This FAQ applies to HTML Egg 1 for iOS
Dropbox is a third party service offered by dropbox.com. Please visit dropbox.com to learn more details and to sign up for a free account.

  • Launch the HTML Egg Pro app on your iOS device
  • Go to: Toolbar > Sync button
  • Link Dropbox account
  • Review available websites in the folder listing. Choose the website you wish to sync.
  • Please wait while sync is in progress. Status indicator will be displayed showing progress.
  • Once a sync is complete, files will be available in your Dropbox account: Apps > HTML Egg Pro > eggpage

How to access Dropbox from the Files app
  • Launch "Files" on your iOS device
  • Choose "Browse"
  • If you do not see "Dropbox" listed under Locations, tap on the "..." button in the top right corner, choose "Edit"
  • Enable Dropbox and choose "Done"
How to import "eggpage" documents into HTML Egg 2

You will need access to a Mac that can connect to your iOS device

Step 1 - From your iOS device:
  • Launch the HTML Egg Pro app on your iOS device
  • Go to Toolbar > "Info" button
  • Choose "Backup" > "Backup into eggpage format"
Step 2 - From your Mac:
  • On your Mac, open a Finder window
  • Connect your iOS device to your computer with a USB cable
  • Select your device in Finder
  • Click the Files tab to see a list of apps that can share files, locate "HTML Egg Pro"
  • Click on the triangle next to "HTML Egg Pro" to expand file list
  • Drag and drop folder "backup_eggpage" to your Mac desktop (or another location if you prefer). If you do not see folder "backup_eggpage", go back and repeat step 1 above.
Step 3 - If you are looking to migrate "eggpage" format files to HTML Egg 2, please continue with instructions below:
  • With your iOS device still connected to your Mac, locate "HTML Egg 2 - Website Designer" from Finder > your iOS device > Files tab
  • Click on the triangle next to "HTML Egg 2 - Website Designer" to expand file list
  • Drag and drop folder "backup_eggpage" from your Mac to under "HTML Egg 2 - Website Designer"
  • You can now disconnect your iOS device from the the Mac. The "backup_eggpage" folder should now be accessible from the Files app on your iOS device.
  • To locate the newly added folder, launch the "Files" app on your iOS device, go to "On My iPhone" > ""HTML Egg 2 - Website Designer"
